The Press
Gazettes and broadsheets — the realm's rumor, praise, and quarrel in print, written by its rulers and grouped into weekly issues. The Chronicle records what happened; the press argues about what it meant. Ever since the Scribes' Guild lost its royal monopoly on ink, any ruler may run a masthead — the guild still sells the paper, and still refuses to be quoted. No sign-in required to read.
How this page works
1) Read the papers. Broadsheets — player-written articles — are grouped into weekly issues under their gazette's masthead. Anyone can read; the press is where the realm argues about what it meant, and the Chronicle remains the official record of what actually happened.
2) Found a gazette. Every kingdom may found one gazette (and an alliance may sponsor one more). Masthead names are held to the same strict standard as kingdom names.
3) Publish. Write broadsheets under your masthead — currently up to 3 articles per kingdom per day, up to 8,000 characters each. Articles run the standard public-prose moderation and can be reported by readers.
Reading is public; founding and publishing require signing in. An alliance-sponsored gazette is founded by a member with identity-editing authority. See the Rules of the Political Stage.
