The Thronestead Codex
Read the realm before you rule it.
The Codex is Thronestead's free public library — no account needed. It holds three things. Start with whichever fits you:

Player Pages — The Surfaces You'll Use
A guided tour of the in-game pages, grouped by what they're for.
Your Kingdom — the daily loop
- Home (castle_keep.html): the command hub you land on after login — your current objective, next move, active queues, building cards, daily reward, and council counsel.
- Profile (profile.html): your identity page — who you are, how the realm sees you, your record, and the Customize Profile editor.
- Kingdom (kingdom.html): full building management — raise and upgrade every structure, compare upgrade math, and queue builds. One upgrade builds at a time; each resolves on the tick.
- Research (research.html): commit research nodes that buff production, military, espionage, and governance.
- Crafting (crafting.html): the Forge — refine raw resources into planks, blocks, ingots, leather, cloth, and higher tiers that gate advanced buildings and elite troops.
- Population (top HUD): hover the population readout in the top bar for the housing math — current population, cap, idle labor, and how your workforce is allocated.
- Achievements (achievements.html): earned milestone titles. Cosmetic only — no mechanical bonuses.
- Quests (quests.html): guided quest progress, including the roughly seven-day Founding Protection arc.
- Kingdom History (kingdom_history.html): chronological record of every intent your kingdom has applied.
Military & War — readiness and conflict
- Training (training.html): queue troop training. The roster starts empty; your first militia is a real "first".
- Military (military.html): the combined military hub — readiness, threats, your standing roster, wounded recovery, and the training queue, all in one place.
- War Room (war_room.html): declare war on a target, review the pre-combat forecast, and launch open-world operations.
- Battles (battles.html): command an active engagement — dispatch support, send reinforcements, run recon, and recall units.
- Spy (spy.html): the Shadow Cabinet — scout an enemy's military or economy, bribe for intel, run counter-intel sweeps, and raise a counter-intel shield. Intelligence and counter-intelligence only; sabotage and theft aren't available yet.
- Patrol Watch (patrol_watch.html): set standing patrols that detect and catch scouts probing your kingdom.
- Alliance Wars (alliance_war_envelopes.html): track the alliance-wide war envelopes that form from your members' wars, and negotiate peace. (Automated standing orders are planned.)
- Recovery (recovery.html) & Restoration Arc (restoration_arc_choice.html): post-defeat rebuild planner — loss summary, milestone rebuild plan, and one permanent arc choice per recovery window.
Economy & Trade — the copper and resources
- Market (market.html): post sell listings and buy from other players. Trades are queued and settle on the next tick.
- Bank / Royal Vault (bank.html): send copper or resources to another kingdom via an outbound transfer that settles at the next tick and can be cancelled while still queued. (It is not a personal deposit-and-withdraw account.)
- Economy / Ledger (ledger.html): the six-tab economy hub — Revenue, Revenue Log, Revenue Details, Producers (tick-by-tick output of every producer you own), Treasury, and Raids — with as-of-tick stamps on every intent.
World & Diplomacy — the rest of the realm
- Alliance (alliance.html): the canonical alliance hub — members, vault, roles and permissions, war coordination, recruitment, and a changelog.
- Diplomacy (diplomacy.html): propose and manage treaties between alliances — Non-Aggression, Mutual Defense, Alliance, and Tribute agreements.
- Policies (policies.html): review the governance policy catalog (effects, groups, exclusivity) and enact or repeal the laws that govern your kingdom.
- Compose (compose.html): the Herald's Desk — draft dispatches, publish decrees, and manage your player-to-player mail (inbox, sent, and contacts).
- News (news.html): world announcements, court dispatches, and recent world events.
- Leaderboard (leaderboard.html): kingdom and alliance rankings.
- Notifications (notifications.html): intent outcomes and inbound events feed.
- Community (community.html): links out to the community Discord.
Onboarding & Account
- Chancellery Brief (onboarding_hub.html): your first-week guide — the founding-protection arc, protection rules, and tutorial cards.
- Public Profile (public_profile.html): what other rulers see when they scout you — ruler title, motto, and public lore.
- Settings (settings.html): account preferences, notifications, and accessibility (including reduced motion and dense tables).
- Support (support.html): the in-game help hub for account, billing, and gameplay questions — and where account deletion is reached.
Support & Information — read before you ask
- FAQ (faq.html): common answers about ticks, protection, economy, combat, research, crafting, queues, and account management.
- Patch Notes (patch_notes.html): every update shipped to the live world — features, balance, fixes, policy — with a current Known Issues block.
- Legal Hub (legal.html): Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Code of Conduct in one chamber, each with a plain-language summary.
- Contact Support (contact_support.html): open a ticket for billing, technical, legal, privacy, harassment, or conduct concerns.
- Appeal (appeal.html): contest a suspension, ban, or disabled account — one primary appeal per enforcement action.
- Support & VIP (donate.html): one-time patron contribution or VIP subscription — cosmetics and small UI conveniences only, never a gameplay edge.
