What happens when you check out
You go to Stripe. Checkout happens on Stripe's secure, hosted page — we never see or store your card details.
Stripe emails your receipt. Your payment confirmation arrives from Stripe at the email you enter during checkout.
You return here and unlocks apply automatically. Supporter status or VIP cosmetics switch on once the payment clears — usually within a few seconds. If nothing appears after a minute, refresh this page or contact billing support. Nothing is ever lost by refreshing.
Our pledge to non-paying players
Every cosmetic, every flair, every QOL convenience VIP unlocks could be removed and the gameplay capability of a non-paying player would be unchanged. We protect this with two independent guards:
A balance-purity validator that rejects any cosmetic carrying a known gameplay-effect key.
A runtime sweep that re-verifies the same rule at load time and rejects the whole content pack if a key sneaks in.
This rule is permanent, not a launch promise. If a perk's appeal depended on giving an advantage, the perk is wrong and we drop it. The full audit is open in our public repository.
What happens if you cancel or refund?
Cancel: your VIP unlocks stay active until the end of the period you've paid for, plus a 24-hour grace window. After that they go back to non-VIP. You don't lose progress, resources, achievements, kingdom standing, or anything else.
Refund: the VIP grant is revoked immediately and the cosmetic unlocks lapse. Any one-time donation badge tied to that charge is also removed. Game state is unchanged.
Payment fails: we hold the grant during a 24-hour grace window while Stripe retries. If retries succeed, you never notice. If they don't, the grant lapses gracefully — no mid-period yank.
Contributions fund Thronestead's ongoing development and operating costs.
Contributions are not investments and create no ownership, equity, or revenue-share rights.
Contributions are not tax-deductible charitable donations — Thronestead is a game project, not a registered charity.
Supporter perks are cosmetic and convenience only; they confer no competitive gameplay advantage and are not a wager or game of chance.
